OUR DANCERS

WHAT OUR DANCERS HAVE TO SAY!

Olivia 2024

For me dance always felt like home. From the day I started dancing, dance always made me feel safe. When I felt down or stressed or anything like that, dance was always like a medicine. It has helped me grow in so many ways, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Dance has always been my number one choice. I’ve grown friendships and bonds. We all cry together, we laugh together, we talk together. That’s why dance feels like home, because we are a family. I hope to make even more memories to cherish, and all the memories i have made/will at dance, will forever be my favorite memories.

I’ve been dancing since I was three and have always worked hard and loved dance with all my heart. It’s always been an escape; a way to sweat my troubles away. Coming to Rosedale Valley Dance two years ago, I felt welcome and loved right away. My talent was seen, my taps were heard, my smile shone like the brightest star. Summer now feels empty. I can't wait for next season! Thank you for all the opportunities you've all given me

Dance is my safe place. It’s where I can go and just be my true self, a place where I am able to escape the outside expectations, enter a carefree mindset and just be me. As someone who can’t find a way to stay still, dance is my place to move. Growing up, my favourite thing was performing to my friends and family and constantly saying “watch me”. Being able to perform and express my true emotions in the studio and on stage is where I find my bliss. I have formed some of my best relationships because of dance.

Dance is such an important part in my life. It lets me take a step back from life and just
breathe. It’s a break at the end of a long day, it’s the night I look forward to all week; to just let go and forget all the worries and cares in the world. Just the atmosphere of the teachers and students is amazing, we’re always looking out for each other in our dance lives and everyday as well. I can’t even imagine my life without dance.

I have been dancing since I was three and dance has always been a way for me to express my emotions in a constructive way. Dance is also a great way to keep my mind and body fit. Through dance I have made lots of friends and have had the wonderful experience of passing on my knowledge to younger dancers.

Dance was always there for me when I needed it most. I've made bonds through dance that will never be broken. Learning to dance gave me confidence and performing brought me happiness! Overall, if I didn't have dance in my life, I would have missed out on a lot of joy!

I'm so happy that I have dance in my life! It provides an escape from the real world and allows me to be myself. I've made some of my closest friends through dance and we've become like a second family. I've definitely grown as I've transitioned into teaching, learning more about responsibility, dependability and being organized.

In my life dance has meant a lot to me. Dance has given me a place to feel free, dance has given me a second family that I love, dance has given me a second home for 14 years. Dance is something that I love to do and I can't wait for it to start!

Dance for me was never a hobby but a passion. Dance introduced me to so many new friends who I have been lucky enough to keep with me through out the years. It was a way for me to express my creativity through new styles of dance I would learn each year. Most importantly Rosedale taught me to dance for the fun of it :)

Dance has meant everything to me. As a kid, it was a fun way to meet new friends, and as I got older it became my release. I always knew I could count on a good dance class to make me forget about my stress, even for just an hour. I still dance everywhere I go, and I hope I always do.

Dance has been my outlet to escape the rest of my stresses. Whether it was a hard day at school, a fight with a friend or family members, or just something personal in my life; dance has always been there to pick me up and help me through it. I have grown up with Rosedale Valley Dance and the studio also helped me grow as an individual.

Although I still remember many routines and dance moves, the real lessons I've learned from dance include patience, leadership, the importance of practice and preperation for large events, and how to have fun even while working hard. I ignited my passion for teaching and interacting with children in the studio, which has set me on a wonderful and fulfilling career path. Most of all, dance meant being a role model for the younger students to apsire to. It meant creating a safe and fun environment where everyone in our dance family was supported and included.
